The listing below of City of Prince Rupert Bylaws contains the most frequently requested bylaws. If you would like to access bylaws that are not included below, please contact the Administration Department.

Note re: Consolidated Bylaws

Over time, Council may amend City Bylaws to reflect changing practices, community preferences, or requests for changes to land use, etc. A consolidated bylaw is the original bylaw (or "parent" bylaw) updated to include all of the amendments to that bylaw. Only the most frequently used bylaws are consolidated, which assists the public to obtain the most legible and recent version of our regulations, however this is done for convenience only. The original version of the Bylaw and separate Amendment Bylaws will also be posted and it is always recommended to consult with staff if you have any questions when interpreting a Bylaw.

Disclaimer: Although we do our best to keep online information up to date, we do not guarantee the accuracy of the information below. If there is a discrepancy between the following versions of bylaws and the ones from City Hall, the City Hall version will take precedence.
