Arts & Culture

Graced with homegrown and imported talent alike, Prince Rupert has an active arts and culture scene with several venues available to take in a concert, play, or performance, or to attend an art show or view the works of local artists. The Museum and Ice House gallery, as well as local coffeehouses are frequently showing the works of local artists, and the Prince Rupert Community Arts Council sponsors a number of local arts-related events.

Alongside our state-of-the-art Lester Centre performance facility, the City is home to Harbour Theatre, our own theatre company responsible for the production of several locally directed, and oftentimes locally-written, performances at the Tom Rooney Playhouse each year.
