Illegal dumping hurts the aesthetic quality of our community, is potentially harmful to the local environment, and is disrespectful to neighbors. Those found to be illegally dumping waste or other materials within City limits will be subject to fines.
Have you seen an instance of illegal dumping? Report it to the City's Bylaw Department. Identifying information can often be obtained from waste and used to levy fines.
If you see illegal dumping that is outside of City limits (along Highway 16), it can be reported to the local Conservation Office Report All Poachers and Polluters (RAPP) line at tel:1-877-952-7277 or by submitting an online form, here: https://forms.gov.bc.ca/environment/rapp/
