Our City is served by road, ferry, rail, and air access. Land access from Prince George is via the Trans-Canada Yellowhead Highway 16. Connect with Highway 37 east of Terrace for travel South from Stewart/Hyder and the Yukon, or North from Kitimat. In addition, BC Ferries operates out of Prince Rupert with sailings up the Coast to Vancouver Island and over to Haida Gwaii. Unique to Prince Rupert is that our airport is located on an island, and requires ferry access to get there.
