    • Council received a presentation and Ecotrust’s final report on a Home Energy Retrofit Feasibility study, presented by project lead Josephine Schrott. The study found, among other things, that converting your home from natural gas to a heat pump system alongside some simple insulation upgrades can save you over $2,000 annually in energy bills, and is the equivalent of taking 2 cars off the road per household.     • Council voted to approve four Development Variance Permits for 108 Rudderham Place, 640 8th Ave East, 618 Ritchie, and 1321 Overlook Street, following the completion of their respective notification processes.
    • Council voted to approve a Service Provider Agreement with the Prince Rupert Golf Club Society to enable the society to access insurance coverage through the Municipal Insurance Authority of BC at a reduced rate.
    • Council appointed Vohora LLP CPAs and Business Advisors as the City’s external auditor for 2023 – 2026.
    • Council gave first, second and third readings to the City’s Permissive Property Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 3521, with final consideration at a future meeting.
