Notice of Liquor License Amendment - Crest Convention Centre

The City of Prince Rupert has received a referral from the Liquor and Cannabis Licensing Branch regarding an application by the Crest Convention Centre for a new Liquor Primary License at 240 1st Avenue West. The service area includes a foyer with a capacity of 100 patrons, a convention space with a capacity of 537 patrons, and a patio with a capacity of 100 patrons, for a total occupant load of 737 patrons. The patio is accessible from inside the convention space. The hours of operation are 7:00am — 2:00am Sunday through Saturday. Proposed activities include banquets, meetings, and similar events. The primary focus will be on food service at all times. Entertainment may include dancing, singing, stand-up comedy, open mic events, trivia nights, and similar activities. 

The City of Prince Rupert is seeking public input regarding the proposed license, including any potential impacts on the surrounding area. Comments may be made, in writing, to the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (Corporate Officer) by email at rosamaria.miller@princerupert.ca, or by mail (or drop-off) to City Hall at 424 Third Avenue, Prince Rupert, BC, on or before 4:00pm, Monday, July 27, 2026. Council may consider this application at their Regular Council Meeting on July 27, 2026.
