Notice is hereby given that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd reading of the Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 3536, 2024 will be held during a Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, Second Floor of City Hall, 424 West 3rd Avenue, Prince Rupert, B.C. 

The City is considering amending its Zoning Bylaw to align with the Provincial Small-Scale, Multi-Unit Housing (SSMUH) initiatives, part of the implementation of the Homes for People Action Plan (2023). 

Purpose: This Prince Rupert Zoning Bylaw Amendment No. 3536, 2024 is to align the City of Prince Rupert Zoning Bylaw No 3462, 2021 with provincial regulations as mandated by the Province of British Columbia. These legislative changes relate to density and site standards set by the Province. 

Copies of the proposed Bylaw amendment can also be obtained on our website or the front desk of City Hall. 

All submissions (mailed, or electronic) must be received by  Rosamaria Miller, Director of Corporate & Legislative Services by no later than 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024.
