The City of Prince Rupert is currently looking for 2-3 volunteers Directors interested in serving on the following board:
Airport Authority Board
If you are dedicated, community-minded individual interested in serving on the Board of Directors, please submit a letter of interest by Monday, August 17th, 2026, at 4:30 pm.
The Airport Authority plays a vital role in supporting regional connectivity, economic development, and essential services for Prince Rupert and Northwest British Columbia. Board members provide strategic leadership and governance oversight to help ensure the airport’s long-term success, safety, and sustainability.
Who Should Apply
We are looking for people who bring a mix of professional expertise, regional insight, and a commitment to public service. Experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset:
· Accounting or financial management
· Risk management
· Airport or aviation-related operations
· Grant writing or funding acquisition
· Business or organizational management
· Board or governance experience
We Welcome Applications From
· Community members and professionals (not limited to Prince Rupert residents)
· Regional users of the airport, including representatives from First Nation villages and surrounding communities
What to Expect
Board members serve in a governance role and work collaboratively to:
· Provide strategic direction and organizational oversight
· Support responsible financial and risk management
· Contribute to long-term planning and regional engagement
