In accordance with Section 40 and 94 of the Community Charter, the City of Prince Rupert gives notice that it may consider Road Closure Bylaw No. 3657, 2025 at the Regular Council Meeting on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
The Highway Road Closure Bylaw No. 3657 proposes to close to traffic, remove the dedication of highway comprising of approximately 69.6 sqm of dedicated Highway on Plan 923, which is shown outlined in bold black on the reference plans EPP152176 prepared by McElhanney, identified on the map (below).
The City intends to close that portion of the highway so it may be sold and consolidated with a neighbouring lot.
The City of Prince Rupert invites anyone who considers themselves affected by the Road Closure Bylaw to submit written comments. Inquiries as well as comments concerning the proposed road closure should be addressed to Rosamaria Miller, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, at City Hall, 424 3rd Avenue West, Prince Rupert BC, V8J 1L7 or sent via email to rosamaria.miller@princerupert.ca no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026.
