Over the holidays, residents may notice changes to the regular schedule of services at various City facilities. Not to worry, we've gathered those impacts here to make sure you're in the know about our holiday hours. It's also worth noting that essential and emergency services will still be available. City Hall:
The City Hall customer service desk is fully closed to the public from December 22nd—December 26th to enable end of year processing, however staff will be on site and will respond to calls and emails in priority sequence during non-statutory working hours.

- December 25th and 26th - Closed
- December 31st— Open 9:30am - 12:00pm
- January 1st — Closed

Recreation Complex
- December 24th — Open 6am—12pm (Arena 6am—12pm, Pool 6:30am—11:30am)
- December 25th + 26th — All facilities closed
- December 27th –30th — Regular schedule
- December 31st — Open 6am—12pm (Arena 6:00am—12pm, Pool 6:30am—11:30am)
- January 1st — All facilities closed
- January 2nd — Regular schedule resumes
Landfill
- December 17th— Open 8:30am— 11:45am
- December 24th — Open 8:30am— 12:00pm
- December 25th + 26th — Closed
- December 27th — Open 10:00am—3:45pm
- December 29th+30th— Open 8:30 am—4:45pm
- December 31st — Open 8:30am –12pm

Additional Service Notes
Payments: All payments to City Hall due on December 31st, 2025 will be accepted up to and including January 2nd, 2026 at 4:30 pm with no penalty.
Cemetery Arrangements: For Cemetery arrangements required during the City Hall closure, please call 250.627.0950
Waste Collection: please refer to the CityWest phone book, Active Living Guide, our City App, our website or sign up to the Recycle Coach app to find your garbage schedule. Remember, collection dates change around the holidays!
