The City of Prince Rupert, North Coast Regional District, District of Port Edward and Prince Rupert Library are currently looking for a volunteer member interested in serving on our regional Accessibility Committee. The committee has been established to better understand barriers to participation in local service provision so that we can update our policies and services to better accommodate all residents.
Our committee is represented by persons with disabilities as well as caretakers and individuals who represent organizations that support persons with disabilities.
If you are interested in helping our organizations become more accessible and welcoming to all residents, please submit a letter of interest by March 14th at 4:00 pm. Please include a written description of your skills and life experiences that would make you an appropriate committee member, and note that applications from persons with disabilities or representatives from organizations that support persons with disabilities will be given priority.
