Downtown Tax Exemptions
New or existing businesses looking to revitalize property in the downtown may be eligible for our tax exemption program on improvements. Click through the link to learn more about if your project is eligible and to find the application package.
Relaxed Parking Regulations Downtown
The City has implemented a Parking Specified Area wherein off-street minimum parking stall requirements are waived for new or upgraded commercial and mixed use developments. For more information, click here.
Permit Fee Waivers

Faade Grant Funding
The City offers funding of up to $5,000 for facade improvements to local eligible businesses on a first come, first served basis through our grant program, when funding is available. For more information on the intake process, follow the link.

Attraction and Retention
The Make Prince Rupert Home campaign is a local partnership between industry and the City to attract employees to our community. This free site provides a resource for local businesses to share info with potential employees and post career opportunities.
