THAT Council hereby declares that the meeting held at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd, 2023 is to be closed to the public and that the basis of this closure is that the item(s) on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

With last nights snowfall, City crews and contractors are out in full force to work on snow removal with available forces and equipment. Unfortunately a combination of equipment break downs and a high number of downed power lines in the community is making for a challenging environment for snow removal. BC Hydro and Citywest are out attending to the situation, and we ask that you give them space to work.

In accordance with Section 40 and 94 of the Community Charter, the City of Prince Rupert gives notice that it will consider final reading of Prince Rupert Blvd Road Dedication Bylaw No. 3499, 2022 (the “Road Dedication Bylaw”) at the Regular Council Meeting of January 23rd at 7:00 p.m. The Road Dedication Bylaw will open 150.4 square meters on Prince Rupert Blvd as roadway, identified on the map above. This Road Dedication will allow dedicated access to 101 11th Avenue East (Digby Towers).
