Notice of Proposed Funding Agreements

In accordance with Section 24 of the Community Charter, the City of Prince Rupert hereby gives notice of its intention to enter into the following Operating Funding Agreements:

The City intends to enter into an Operating Funding Agreement for a 3-year Term with the Prince Rupert Performing Arts Centre Society (the “Recipient”) for three-year operational cost contributions as follows:  year one $140,000; year two $144,200 and; year three $148,530.

The City also intends to enter into an Operating Funding Agreement for a 3-year Term with the Northern British Columbia Museum Association Society (the “Recipient”) for the three -year operations cost contributions as follows: year one $141,000; year two $145,230; and; year three $149,590, and the sum of $15,000 per year for the Kwinitsa Station Museum, for each year of the 3-year Term.   Historically, the City has provided funding to both Societies every year through the City’s annual Community Enhancement Grant process. Since 2016, the City has implemented an alternative process that provides both the City and the Societies greater certainty in the development of annual budgets.
