Mariners Playground Upgrades Starting September 5th

August 18, 2017

The City of Prince Rupert would like to inform residents that the playground at Mariners Park will be closed starting September 5th to enable the installation of a new playground. The playground renewal, led by the Prince Rupert Lions Club, includes the installation of new playground equipment as well as rubber surfacing that will increase the accessibility of the play area. Please note, slider equipment is not pictured in the conceptual drawing attached to this notice, but will be included in the final installation. Residents can look forward to the reopening of a brand new playground facility in early October.

We apologize for the inconvenience the closure will cause, and encourage residents to make use of the tot-park while it remains open.  We would also like to thank the generous sponsorship of the Port of Prince Rupert, Shell Canada (Prince Rupert LNG), Macro Properties, and the Lions Club for making this project possible.
